Brian Toman has more than four years of experience at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton where he is currently a member of the firm’s professional standards group. He also serves as a technical advisor on accounting issues related to cryptocurrencies for Catallaxy, the Montréal-based blockchain expertise centre powered by Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton.
Using his in-depth knowledge of accounting standards, Mr. Toman works with auditors to resolve complex accounting issues, including those related to cryptocurrencies, income taxes, revenue recognition and financial instruments. He develops and presents accounting courses to employees within the firm and clients, and participates in the drafting of technical accounting publications on specialized financial accounting topics, including the following publications related to cryptocurrencies issued by Grant Thornton International:
